This is just a brief note to say how deeply moved I have been reading  “Russian Fate.” You and Gena have done a fantastic job of compiling a selection of Steve’s writings and writings about him that capture his uniquely endearing personality and intellectual brilliance. The book is revealing and important for those like me and Janet who knew Steve well and for readers generally who want to learn more about a towering figure in Soviet/Russian studies and Russian/American relations.
